the week was so fun with lots of outings and the best way to write about them is to show pictures! that way i don't have to write the thousand words myself!
this is pretty much what jonathan looked like for the entire drive. he hated ever minute of being in the car which sure made for a fun 16 hour car ride
on our way down to hurricane, we stopped by to see topher's brother and his family. little lydia is one of the cutest baby girls! she makes me want one so bad! look at those cheeks!
we got to stay in hurricane for a day before we went down to san diego and it was such a great day! we saw some family did some last minute projects for the wedding and swam in the pool! my dad also wrestled a goat. spoiler alert: he won
in san diego we stayed with my aunt and uncle, and jonathan loved having a big house to explore! he made friends with crystal, their pet dog, and discovered the noise making capabilities of the piano! he learned to walk right before the trip so he was very busy most of the time!
we also got to have a family play day! we went to qualcomm stadium so topher could bask in its football glory! jonathan also got a new chargers hat which means i'm winning, jonathan is going to be a chargers fan! after qualcomm, we made our way over to mission beach and basked in its ocean glory that i missed oh so much! we got to walk along the boardwalk and smell the wonderful salt water! i was in heaven!
the wedding was beautiful! brianna was glowing in her beautiful lace gown and tyson was pulling off his skirt...i mean kilt quite well, too! they're happiness was radiating off of them and made me tear up a time or two...including now. i couldn't be happier for them and felt honored to share this amazing day with them!
i got to be one of brianna's bridesmaids and it was an honor! after the sealing we got to spend tons of time taking pictures outside the gorgeous temple! that part i could have done without but it was still great! we all got a little sunburned though, including jonathan...poor little guy. his nose was the saddest little thing i ever did see! but i think he was fine cause at the reception he was hitting on the flower girl. what am i going to do with this kid?! this is his second kiss! slow down, buddy!
not mentioned in pictures was wednesday night, my wonderful mom watched jonathan for the evening so chris and i could go out to celebrate our anniversary! it was amazing! we went down to harbor island and ate dinner overlooking the water. i couldn't have asked for a better night with my dear husband. i am so lucky to have him!
all in all our little vacation was a success and we have a lot of great memories from it! needless to say we were all just a little tired at the end of it and ready to get back to good ol' rexburg!
